Introducing Our New Grant Program

Awarding Grants for Tourism Promotion.

The Miami County Visitors Bureau Board has unanimously voted to begin awarding tourism promotional grants.  This grant program is to assist tourism “partner” organizations in Miami County with new projects by providing funding for start-up costs, promotional materials, social media, advertising and other marketing initiatives in order to increase visitation, expenditures and overnight stays in Miami County.

We are requiring organizations to not only define how funds will be used, but to also show how their marketing message will reach their target audience. – Diana Thompson, Executive Director

Project guidelines include utilizing the Miami County Brand Standards, the project should be designed to increase visitation, it must enhance Miami County’s image, and priority to be given to first time projects which promote to out-of-county visitors.

After establishing the criteria and standards of qualifications for funding, the Bureau is now ready to accept tourism grant applications for 2015.  Any non-profit or not-for-profit organization involved in a tourism related activity may apply.  Total request per submission is $3,000.
