Hayner’s Drawing Room Chamber concert for February will feature a gifted pianist from Korea, Dr. Ji Hyang Gwak. Dr. Gwak has performed throughout the world including Czechoslovakia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and Korea. She holds a Bachelor of Music in piano performance, summa cum laude, from Seoul National University and a Master of Music from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from the University of Michigan. She has won many awards for her technical mastery including the Olga Kern, the Sicily, the Franz Liszt, the Concours Musical and the Lyon International competitions.
