Dayton Contemporary Dance Company and the Deron Bell Band brings Motown Past, Present and Future live here at the APAC.
DCDC was founded in 1968, celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, and is rooted in the African-American experience, the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company is a culturally diverse contemporary dance company committed to reaching the broadest audience through exceptional performance and arts-integrated education. DCDC is ranked in the top 20 African-American arts and cultural organizations in the country and is the future of Dance and Arts Education. Artistic Director Debbie Blunden-Diggs brings together the world’s most celebrated dancers and choreographers for a performance of dance, song, new finds and faithful friends.
DCDC’s Musical Director, Deron Bell brings is band to accompany the DCDC dancers for this night of Motown to celebrate Black History month. You may have seen his band perform here at the APAC for a wonderful pre-show event in our lobby.
