WGI Sport of the Arts is the world's premier organization producing indoor color guard, percussion ensemble, and winds competitions. It is called the Sport of the Arts because it brings music to life through performance in a competitive format. Competition WGI uses a competition-based approach for organizing events in order to showcase youth activities in pursuit of high standards of achievement. Events include over 60 Regionals and Power Regionals, which lead to the three-day World Championships that evaluate more than 350 guards, 250 percussion ensembles, and 40 winds groups.

Join us for Grown-Up Prom: A Night in the Arts, hosted as the Piqua Arts Council's premier fundraiser! This isn’t your typical prom—no need for tuxedos or gowns, just a fun night full of music, dancing, and creative surprises. Enjoy activities like caricature portraits, a prom speed-painting experience, and a nostalgic photo booth, all while dancing under sparkling disco balls. Half of every ticket sale supports the Piqua Arts Council, helping make art accessible to our community. Jim is a pillar in the music community in our region. To understand Jim McCutcheon and the impact that he has had, one first needs to understand how many musical pots he stirs. Jim is the owner of McCutcheon Music which is a 30 + year old, Centerville based, music store providing lessons, rentals and repairs. Since 1978 he has taught at the University of Dayton. He is now their Senior Lecturer in guitar. He is also an adjunct professor at Wright State University School of Fine and Performing Arts and he teaches guitar at Miami University. He produces a
