Located on the square in the heart of beautiful downtown Troy, Ohio, Around About Books is proud to be Troy’s only used bookstore. We provide gently used books, movies, books on tape, records, CDs, comics, video games, board games, puzzles and local authors for reasonable prices. Why shop new?

On our second floor, check out our special purchases room. Everything is a dollar or less, with special deals for large quantities! This brings us to a total of EIGHT rooms upstairs. With our two huge rooms on the first floor and our basement stocked full of LPs, 45s, VHS and even MORE books that makes eleven rooms overall… Come check it out!

Around About Books has been open since the summer of 1992 and was located out by Wal-Mart. By 1996, the store had relocated downtown and grown to roughly 4800 sqare feet. In October of 2003, the store’s previous owners graciously offered to sell the business to long-time manager Sue Cantrell, who, along with employee Mike Wilkinson and store handyman/lightbulb-changer Dave Crouse, purchased it with high hopes. The new owners have added movies (VHS and DVD), music (CD’s and LP’s), some video games, and a bargain room to the store’s inventory, along with expanding the new books and local authors sections.

Also featured is merchandise from local legend and horror host Dr. Creep!

Our goal is to stock books in areas that our customers have shown an interest in. Our hardback and paperback stock consists of book editions from the publishers, book clubs and remainders.
